As a member of the Traffic Management team, you will build and extend various traffic management and supporting systems. You will work closely with Network Engineering, Product Engineering, Network Strategy, and other teams to collaborate on ambitious initiatives to make the best use of Cloudflare’s global network.
Responsibilities
- Build and extend various traffic management and supporting systems
- Work closely with Network Engineering, Product Engineering, Network Strategy, and other teams
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Work with a wide range of technologies and programming languages
- Use AI-powered tools and systems as part of your daily workflow
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience with networking and/or distributed systems
- Systems-level programming experience in Go, Python, Rust, C, or C++
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols in Layers 3 and 4 of the OSI Model
- Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks
- Experience in implementing secure and highly-available distributed systems
- Strong ability to debug issues in complex systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and functions
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation
- Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools and systems into your engineering workflow
