Specialist I, Crane

Job Summary ---------------- This role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes and hoists for power plants and Division operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical components, electronic circuits, and mechanical backgrounds related to overhead cranes.

Responsibilities ---------------

• Inspect, repair, and maintain overhead cranes and hoists
• Provide crane and aerial lift training to internal customers
• Bill services and document work
• Travel extensively and be available for weekend and after-hour work

Requirements -----------

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• At least 3 years of current service technician experience with overhead cranes up to 250 tons
• Ability to qualify for a CDL license within 6 months of employment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities ----------------------------

• Strong background in electrical components and electronic circuits of the type in the operation of overhead cranes
• Strong mechanical background dealing with overhead cranes
• Certification requirements for overhead crane inspections
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to address and work with management and covered employees
• Good oral, written, and computer skills
• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI regulations relating to the industrial environment
• Excellent leadership skills and strong decision-making skills
