Description

IQVIA is seeking an experienced, strategic business development professional to accelerate the growth of our Cronos Patient-Centered Solutions business. This is a client-facing individual contributor sales role focused on creating new business, developing strategic client relationships, expanding existing accounts, and identifying opportunities for Cronos solutions across biopharmaceutical and clinical research organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the development of new business and achievement of assigned sales targets across a defined geography, account set, or market.
  • Build pipeline proactively by personally originating, qualifying, and progressing net-new opportunities, including business created before formal RFP or procurement processes begin.
  • Develop relationships within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research organizations where Cronos has limited or no existing presence.
  • Expand the depth and breadth of relationships within existing strategic accounts by identifying new stakeholders, programs, and opportunities for growth.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and develop a strong understanding of their organizations, development portfolios, priorities, and challenges.
  • Lead strategic client conversations and connect client needs with relevant Cronos, IQVIA, and partner capabilities.
  • Retain commercial ownership of opportunities while mobilizing scientific, operational, technology, pricing, proposal, and other subject-matter experts to develop differentiated, commercially attractive, and operationally achievable solutions.
  • Remain actively involved throughout the sales cycle, including opportunity strategy, qualification, solution development, proposal creation, pricing, bid defenses, negotiation, contracting support, and transition to delivery.
  • Develop and maintain actionable account and territory plans that identify priority programs, buying centers, senior stakeholders, relationship gaps, and whitespace opportunities to generate sustainable long-term growth.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account, activity, opportunity, and forecast information in applicable CRM and commercial systems, clearly communicating opportunity status, risks, dependencies, and required internal actions.
  • Partner effectively with IQVIA account leaders and sales teams while maintaining clear ownership of Cronos opportunity development, relationship expansion, and commercial follow-through.
  • Maintain sufficient fluency across Cronos capabilities to confidently lead client conversations, ask informed questions, recognize opportunities, and introduce specialized expertise at the right time.
  • Monitor market, competitor, and clinical-development trends to identify emerging client needs and potential opportunities.
  • Represent Cronos and IQVIA through relevant conferences, industry events, and client-facing activities.
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of the Cronos commercial model by identifying opportunities to improve sales processes, enablement, tools, messaging, and ways of working, while developing market insight and strategic relationships that can support future technology, data, and patient-centered solution capabilities.
  • Operate effectively in a rapidly evolving environment and work hands-on with internal teams to navigate information, process, pricing, proposal, and solution-development challenges within individual opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic account growth within life sciences, clinical research, healthcare technology, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated success personally originating and progressing net-new opportunities, including business created before a formal RFP or procurement process began.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and expand senior-level client relationships across complex organizations.
  • Experience selling complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders, functions, and decision makers.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology clinical-development environment.
  • Strong consultative selling, discovery, negotiation, and commercial skills.
  • Ability to learn technically complex offerings and communicate their value credibly with sophisticated buyers.
  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize and coordinate internal experts and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Comfort operating in an evolving environment where processes and commercial infrastructure may still be developing.
  • Resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to work hands-on to move opportunities forward.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% as required.
