The Mid Term Planning and Forecasting Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining resource plans and forecasts across Operations, focused on a long term view. This role will ensure that the organisation has the right plans to enable decision making to meet current and future business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Converting long term forecasts into mid term resource plans that take account of intraday and intra month profiles and emerging trends.
  • Continuously monitoring actual versus forecasted volumes, to understand trends and ensure appropriate recommendations for future forecasts.
  • Maintaining a robust supply plan, monitoring impacts on capacity and making recommendations which improve capacity and demand alignment.
  • Ensuring forecasts are updated within the workforce management system.
  • Providing adhoc impact assessments for emerging activities.
  • Working closely with the wider planning team to ensure plans are effectively handed off for execution and key metrics are aligned.

Requirements include:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present planning outputs to a range of stakeholders to gain buy-in.
  • Ability to balance workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Change, Marketing & Finance teams.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, driving your own personal development.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of demand planning methodologies and demand drivers.
  • Strong data fluency and ability to work with data science and MI teams to shape new datasets.
