As a People Business Partner, you will serve as a vital liaison between the People Team and the business, playing a role that is pivotal in supporting our people and driving business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a tactical partner to business stakeholders as it relates to key initiatives and proactively mitigate legal and compliance risks, investigating and addressing employee relations concerns effectively.
  • Actively execute and make informed decisions within established policies, enhancing employee experience by creating solutions within existing frameworks.
  • Participate in organizational design conversations to streamline and implement new department structures, roles and/or processes that create speed and efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for FMLA, CFRA, state protected and personal leaves, managing precise tracking, eligibility determinations, and return-to-work timelines.
  • Manage reasonable accommodation and leave requests, coordinating with stakeholders to implement effective return-to-work and transitional work plans.
  • Coach employees on company policies, employee communication, development and performance management strategies and tactics to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Develop close partnerships with functional teams to deliver integrated solutions to related needs.
  • Provide performance management guidance to management.
  • Find innovative ways for leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Leverage metrics and analytics to inform strategies, measure progress against organizational goals.
  • Execute and identify change management strategies to support critical evolution of the business and achieve desired business results that are sustainable over time.
  • Partner with People colleagues to identify key talent segments and pivotal roles.
  • Use employee lifecycle data to help the business make informed decisions about talent management strategies.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews for store leadership, analyze trends, and recommend actionable solutions based on findings.
  • In partnership with the People Team's centers of expertise, lead and design specialized training programs where your expertise adds significant value.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence and Resilience: Managing unprecedented or challenging situations with a proactive approach to finding solutions
  • People First Leadership: A strong passion for supporting people and leading with a people-first mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus
  • Must be available to work standard west coast business hours
