We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manager, Broadcasting to join our team in Concord, North Carolina. This role manages the day-to-day relationships, scheduling, and operational needs of NASCAR's domestic television and broadcast partners. The Manager serves as a central liaison between networks, production teams, competition groups, tracks, and internal stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of weekly broadcast requirements.
This position is ideal for a broadcast professional with strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and experience working within sports, league operations, television production, or live event environments.
Responsibilities
- Interface and manage day-to-day relationships with partner programming, production, marketing, sales, and communications groups.
- Oversee the approval/execution of weekly partner requests (related primarily to programming and production needs).
- Schedule and moderate weekly meetings between Competition, tracks, and broadcast partners to discuss upcoming week events and logistics.
- Manage department support of partner needs at media days, production/marketing shoots, etc.
- Maximize affiliate relationships and integrate with marketing initiative, tracks, etc.
- Distribute weekly event logistics and materials to broadcast production groups.
- Analyse commercial formats and work with networks to optimise to enhance viewing.
- Act as the on-site Broadcasting contact for select race events.
- Create and edit presentation materials and documents using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe, and other programs as needed.
- Additional projects, as assigned to support broadcast partnerships and NASCAR's growth initiatives.
- Travel: Approximately 25%, including weekends during race seasons
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sports league operations, television/broadcasting, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and partner requests in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
