Description
Anduril Industries is seeking a Field Engineer to join the Imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating and testing EO/IR cameras at customer facilities. This will involve integrating sensors onto aircraft, performing health and status checkouts, managing safety standards and best practices around flight lines, and debugging issues as needed.
The Field Engineer will also be responsible for testing and debugging sensors that are in the build and characterization phase of production. They will work closely with the engineering team to identify and troubleshoot system hardware and software issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, leading, and managing the integration and testing of high-performance imaging systems from first build through field deployment.
- Travelling to test sites and working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performing hands-on integration of the electrical, firmware, mechanical, and software components of the system and providing feedback to the engineering team.
- Identifying and troubleshooting system hardware and software issues.
- Managing prototyping lab facility and activities, including test hardware, test processes, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system design and development, with experience in laboratory skills, such as design of experiments. They will also have a degree in a relevant technical discipline and be able to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred qualifications include experience with advanced sensing domain, image processing techniques, and analytical toolchains/languages, such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.
