As a Senior Electrical Engineer on our Hardware Test team, you'll design and develop test systems that push our hardware to its limits. From custom PCBs and automated test sequences to electrical and mechanical test stands, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the highest reliability in aerospace hardware.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design, validation, and deployment of advanced test systems for V-BAT's critical components and subsystems
- Architecting PCBs and test interfaces for power electronics, RF, and communication systems
- Developing automated test sequences in Python, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and repeatability
- Designing and integrating custom test fixtures, including relays, PLCs, PCBAs, and harnessing
- Driving cross-functional design reviews, advocating for design-for-testability (DFT) improvements
- Working hands-on with HASS, ESS, and HALT testing, validating performance in simulated harsh environments
Required qualifications include:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
- 3+ years of industry experience in hardware design and test engineering
- Deep expertise in electrical design, mechanical, and software engineering principles as applied to hardware test systems
- Proven ability to design, implement, and validate multidisciplinary hardware systems in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
Preferred qualifications include:
- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for test automation
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCAD, Eagle) and CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA)
- Experience working in rugged, high-reliability industries like aerospace, defence, or automotive
