We are seeking a Legal Counsel for Air Defense and Counter Intrusion to join our team in Washington, DC or Costa Mesa, CA. The successful candidate will provide legal oversight to proposals, procurement, and advise on data rights and contract structures. They will also give legal guidance to existing business areas and craft legal and business strategies.
As a key member of our small, dynamic Legal Team, you will drive customer growth by executing new government contracts and growing existing ones. You will use your expertise in federal procurement law to help the Business Development, Proposal, and Engineering Teams efficiently capture new contracts, grow existing contracts, and set up follow-on opportunities for future contracts.
You will manage relationships with procurement office representatives at Government agencies and provide legal counsel and day-to-day management of the entire acquisitions lifecycle. You will oversee and evaluate major proposals, monitor large contracts, lead or assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and mitigations, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of work on US Government contracts matters, preferably with a law firm or in-house at a government contractor. They will have a solid understanding of the government procurement process, particularly contract vehicles and types, including non-traditional and CAS coverage, software acquisition approaches, and data rights issues.
The salary range for this role is $191,000-$253,000 USD, and highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
