At Synopsys, we're looking for a dynamic and driven sales professional to join our team in Ismaning, Bavaria, Germany. As a Senior Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers within your assigned territory or product line.
Your primary goal will be to drive growth and profitability by expanding Synopsys' customer base and increasing account penetration. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, legal, and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that address customer challenges and position Synopsys as a trusted technology partner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing sales activities to establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
- Maintaining and growing renewal business while generating new opportunities to achieve or exceed revenue objectives
- Selling Synopsys products and services through both telephone outreach and face-to-face meetings
- Uncovering customer pain points, negative consequences, and desired outcomes to identify the best solutions, presenting value through metrics and proof points
- Creating and maintaining account plans for existing customers, highlighting profile, share, and value opportunities
- Researching and developing prospective customer sources and expanding to new groups within existing accounts
- Developing clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing, account teams, sales management, accounting, legal, and technical services groups
- Providing accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues
- Participating in trade shows and conventions, and scheduling training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, business, or related field with at least 1 year of professional experience OR 3+ years of related experience
- Fluency in English and German to engage effectively with clients and colleagues
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within Germany and potentially across Europe
- Basic understanding of engineering analysis and technology to communicate product value
- Strong grasp of sales fundamentals, or the aptitude to learn quickly and adapt to new strategies
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities while tracking progress and outcomes
- Proficiency in developing clear, compelling proposals and quotations for customers
- Experience coordinating sales efforts with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to network effectively via face-to-face, email, phone, and social media channels
