Job Summary The Account Executive owns the relationship with the broker, building and maintaining broker relationships to provide an exceptional experience for clients. This is achieved by communicating and demonstrating Meritain's total cost of care through simplicity, transparency, and versatility.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships and provide consultative services
- Prepare and issue renewal proposals
- Confirm sold proposals and plan changes
- Ensure clients are up-to-date with compliance requirements
- Manage Salesforce
- Conduct virtual open enrollment meetings and attend implementation calls
- Provide stop-loss and ad-hoc reporting
- Upsell point solutions
- Travel to offsite locations for in-person meetings may be required
Requirements
- 2-5 years of group health employee benefit experience
- Experience with the renewal process
- 2-5 years of client management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal business partners
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners
- Consistency in follow-through on outstanding items
- Accuracy in information sharing
- Ability to participate in client meetings
- Adherence to PHI and HIPAA policies
- Health/Life Major Lines Producer License (or obtain within 90 days)
Preferred Qualifications
- Stop-loss/Self-funded Health Insurance Plan experience
- Understanding of the competitive environment and market opportunities
- Bachelor's degree
