Join HSBC and fulfil your potential. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Sr. Associate Director, Tech SME Specialist.

In this role, you will manage the testing practice across multiple PODs for the ISO 20022 roadmap for the bank. You will build, mentor, manage a large team of testers (~50) on the programme. You will grow a deep understanding of the functional changes in the various initiatives, the system landscape and testing tools currently used in the programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and executing testing strategies and plans for initiatives
  • Overseeing the creation of testing strategies and plans for initiatives as well as the execution against the plans
  • Effectively unblock/escalate/resolve blockers during execution
  • Partnering with development leads to meet program timelines
  • Ensuring accurate / effective/streamlined reporting of testing progress across all initiatives
  • Driving Test Automation practices, with the aim to increase quality and reduce cost

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in payments, quality assurance, test artefact development and audit trails. You should also be able to use risk-based testing to streamline the testing process. Strong defect management experience, including impact analysis, triage, prioritisation and allocation, is also required.

Additionally, you should have strong knowledge of JIRA for test case creation, reviews test cycle development & execution. Exposure to tools like Postman/insomnia/Tosca/SQL is also necessary. You should be able to influence and build culture in large remote teams working on several initiatives simultaneously.
