Technical Program Management, Alignment

Own 3–4 special projects at a time, driving model evaluation projects end-to-end, managing external research collaborators, synthesizing complex information, identifying new projects, and running team offsites.

This role requires 5+ years of experience in chief-of-staff, program management, operations, or similar roles in a research, technical, or fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Scope, plan, and drive model evaluation projects end-to-end
• Manage external research collaborators
• Synthesize complex information into decision-relevant inputs for leadership
• Identify new projects the company should take on
• Run the Alignment team offsite and similar events

Strong candidates may also have experience working directly with researchers, especially in AI safety or machine learning, and familiarity with the AI safety research landscape, key organizations, and ongoing debates.

Annual compensation range: $210,000-$290,000 USD.
