As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will work directly with customers, from startups to large institutions, as a trusted technical advisor, and also contribute to open source projects and extend Coinbase’s core products to unlock strategic client opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Partner with customers as a trusted technical advisor, guiding them in building on Coinbase services and APIs Collaborate with prospects and sales teams to address technical requirements and support deal closure Architect and implement distributed systems solutions that address complex customer needs Build and maintain open source SDKs and reference implementations Deliver clear, engaging technical presentations and documentation Oversee customer implementations, proactively identifying and resolving technical roadblocks Maintain and grow long-term customer relationships as they expand their use of Coinbase products Work closely with product and engineering teams to extend core capabilities for strategic client opportunities Collaborate with support teams to ensure customer success
Requirements:
Degree in computer science and 5+ years of software engineering experience Ability to quickly understand requirements and rapidly develop solutions Proven ability to design and build solutions to complex, ambiguous problems with significant impact Familiarity with both modern and legacy integration approaches Track record of working effectively with demanding cross-functional stakeholders Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex needs into actionable recommendations Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate autonomously Experience leveraging AI to scale and enhance your contributions Expert-level knowledge of REST and WebSocket APIs Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality
Nice to have:
Experience with Golang and/or Ruby Experience with blockchains / crypto Experience with trading systems
Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)). Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $180,370-$212,200 USD
