Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Stock & Inventory Associate to join our retail makeup boutique. This role is critical to ensuring smooth stockroom operations, accurate inventory management, and timely replenishment of products on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the shop floor is fully replenished with stock and testers at the start and end of each shift.
- Monitor and log tester usage weekly; order replacements as needed.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and easily navigable stockroom.
Inventory Control:
- Process all deliveries accurately and promptly.
- Complete weekly cycle counts on a rolling 4-week basis; report discrepancies to the Stock Manager and Boutique Manager.
- Assist with managing expired products and write-offs in compliance with company policy.
- Support transfers, recalls, and stockroom moves for new product launches.
Event Support:
- Organize and manage event collateral; ensure timely setup and replenishment during events.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Keep all paperwork organized and filed efficiently.
- Implement and maintain best practices in line with company stockroom guidelines.
- Adhere to health and safety standards when lifting and handling products.
Communication & Teamwork:
- Communicate stock issues and low inventory levels promptly to management.
- Respond professionally to inquiries regarding stockroom processes.
- Support team members to ensure effective collaboration and smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 40 lbs and climb two flights of stairs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and paperwork.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist on the sales floor during peak times.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
