Security Services Event Staff

We are hiring for Security Event Staff to provide a visible security presence to guests and employees at Michigan International Speedway. This part-time seasonal position involves locking/unlocking doors and gates, screening persons seeking access to ticketed and secure areas, providing crowd control, and assisting guests with questions and directions. You will also assist with the setup of perimeter fences and barricades.

Responsibilities ----------------

• Locking/unlocking doors and gates at designated times
• Screening all persons seeking access to ticketed and/or secure areas
• Providing crowd control
• Patrolling the property and monitoring for unwanted, unsafe, or suspicious behavior
• Assisting guests with questions and providing directions
• Assisting with the setup of perimeter fences and barricades

Requirements ------------

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Prior customer service experience is strongly preferred
• Minimum age 18 years old
• Adhere to the company's substance abuse policy
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work with others and take direction
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous attitude with guests at all times
• Ability to work nights/weekends as assigned
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Some positions may require a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle license inspection report
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods
• Reliable transportation to and from the track location
