Description
Job Title: Research Operations, Economic Research
We are seeking a strong operator to serve as the operational backbone of Anthropic's Economic Research team. Your overarching mandate is twofold: 1) clear the brush so our researchers can efficiently execute on key research priorities, and 2) ensure research aspirations and findings translate into concrete policy and commercial outcomes.
In this role, you will drive execution on the team's research initiatives, work backward from business deadlines to set research deadlines/milestones and plan out team capacity, ensure smooth operating cadence and relationship touchpoints with our research ecosystem, and partner with colleagues on Research, Public Policy, Communications, and GTM to organize briefings and campaigns that amplify key research findings.
You may be a good fit if you have a 5+ year track record managing and delivering on business-critical, cross-functional initiatives, have the ability to quickly gain state on technical domains and know enough to be effective, without being a subject matter expert, are skilled at navigating organizational complexity, building relationships, and influencing without authority, can see around corners and anticipate needs when supporting leaders in executing their vision, and are highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a high attention to detail.
Sample projects include building a living tracker for critical research workstreams, managing contracting and vendor relationships for commissioned research projects, coordinating cross-functional alignment for a major academic research partnership, and working backward from a policy campaign or research publication deadline to organize research milestones and deliverables.
The annual compensation range for this role is $180,000-$210,000 USD.
