"" Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, consistently delivering actionable insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and elevate gameplay.
As a Quality Designer, you will work closely with the Battlefield Franchise to improve the existing test methodology, identifying new capabilities. You will oversee and implement the quality plan for the North American Functionality Team and will report to the Software Quality & Tech (SQT) Engineering Manager and partner directly with the Producer and/or other Designers to establish quality standards and provide both quantitative and qualitative feedback on new features.
Responsibilities: Implement automated build verification and reporting processes Research and propose solutions for increasing test coverage efficiency Document reproduction steps, gather test data, and assist in debugging
Quality and Data Analysis: Implementation of test automation features and scripts making sure we have robust automated testing Observe and debug automated test execution workflows, ensuring that quality data is actively generated from the test farm Use development tools to guide issue identification upstream and promote defect prevention Analyze automated testing processes for areas of improvements and optimization
Collaboration and Communication: Collect testing requirements from our NA stakeholders for the features and domains, ensure implementation addresses stakeholder concerns Coordinate with other NA SQT members on testing coverage, challenges and progress Represent the QV perspective effectively in meetings, ensuring quality standards are prioritized
Requirements: 2+ Years of games or software development QV experience An understanding of programming concepts, multiplayer games architecture, and scripting Experience working with game engines and associated tool sets In-depth knowledge of current generation console testing and software development kits
Skills and Abilities: Experience with visual programing (e.g., Unreal blueprints) Understand concepts of defect prevention and containment Experience with Grey/White box testing in development environments Plus: Experience with game mode development Plus: Programming experience""
