RTS Build & Allocations Coordinator

General Summary:
This position reports to the RTS Chief Mechanic or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible allocation and service turnaround processes within the team and ensuring that mileage tracking systems are accurate and digitally assembled.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support across Race Team Support, Sub Assembly & Composites departments, working cross functionally with other departments.
- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- Liaise and distribute information to various departments in an accurate manner, whilst ensuring tight deadlines are adhered to.
- Report reliability issues as they occur and seek advice before undertaking any out of the ordinary tasks.
- Responsibility for the cleanliness and condition of your work area.
- Follow Engineering procedures and protocols as dictated by the Haas F1 Team pertaining to assembly, operation, and safety.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
- Other duties as assigned by the RTS Chief Mechanic or their designee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the coordination of race car part allocations ensuring requirements from the chief mechanic, RTS chief mechanic, parts coordinators and lifing engineer are satisfied.
- Accountable for the cycling of race car components throughout the season to ensure trackside quantities are met while balancing lifing limitations.
- Collaborate with the logistics department to ensure turnaround plans are in line with freight dates.
- Responsible for the population and maintenance of assembly build sheets ensuring that data is accurately reflected in Lifecheck.
- Collaborate with the lifing engineer to ensure that parts are selectable within the Lifecheck template.
- Ensure components within Lifecheck have correct service reset parameters programmed and service mileage intervals set in accordance with DO guidance.
- Collaborate with the operational departments to ensure inventory status is correct, which in turn ensures UIIL compliance.
- Assist and support departments as required to facilitate turnarounds, engineering projects, car builds and event support.
Education and Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong communication skills, writing and verbal.
- Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations, with an exceptional attitude towards attention to detail.
- Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
- Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information pertaining to assembly, periodic updates and modifications.
- Self-motivated with effective time management skills, adapt to change, capable of resolving conflicts constructively, and committed to continuous learning.
- A sympathetic approach to your colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
- A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
Equipment and Applications:
- Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience using systems such as or equivalent to Microsoft D365, 3DX & Lifecheck.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.
Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require some domestic or international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
