Description
The Active Safety Parking Systems Test Engineer (for ADAS Systems) will coordinate / perform a full range of test/development activities relevant to departmental and organizational needs while correlating with our Japan-based counterparts, international engineering teams as well as external vendors and customers.
The associate will assume PIC (Person-in-Charge) responsibility for specific ADAS technologies and corollary testing within a development project(s); as well as lead/mentor junior engineers within the group.
Responsible for the development of the Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) - Parking Systems and Camera functions, as well as tuning vehicle control systems.
Develop the functional requirements related to CAN interface, Self-Diagnostic, Failsafe Detection for each vehicle development, working with the system supplier to lead the integration of these functions into the vehicle, as well as verification of the functions.
Roles include project management activities, overseeing the testing of the related vehicle systems, negotiating the hardware and software interfaces to integrate the system into the vehicle, instrumenting and troubleshooting vehicles for testing, analyzing test data, recommending solutions for test failures, determining root cause(s) and leading/coaching/mentoring junior engineers within the group as a Lead PIC (person in charge) for development projects.
Manage development projects/schedules, coordinate with corollary departments/suppliers and research new technologies and market trends
Creating and presenting technical documents/reports, including comprehensive root cause analysis when required.
