Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Partner Integration team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, writing, and testing new APIs and integrations with partners. You will also lead projects end-to-end, from working with partners directly to clicking the launch button. Your expertise will be essential in identifying patterns that allow us to scale new partnerships quickly in the future.
A typical day for this role will involve collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Product, Program, Design, and Engineers, and directly with external partners. You will also provide input in team roadmap and technical direction. Your passion for reliability, efficiency, availability, and system quality will be crucial in building large-scale backend solutions that are efficient, reliable, performant, and scalable.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on designing scalable and resilient large-scale service-oriented architectures. Previous experience working with third-party APIs and authentication or secure signing mechanisms is a plus. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and with teams across the engineering organization.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to have a high sense of user empathy and the ability to identify and solve for user needs and friction. You will also need to have an end-to-end mentality that transcends team boundaries and helps find globally optimal solutions.
This position is US-Remote Eligible, and you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
