Description
Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Development and Release Engineering (DRE) team, which is responsible for automating the game production engine. You will work with various teams to simplify CI for game creators and provide excellent services to our partner teams at EA Vancouver.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a technical liaison with development teams to address build issues and improvements
- Design, implement, and maintain automation pipelines in our CI system (Jenkins)
- Monitor and analyze automation systems to resolve performance bottlenecks and respond to breakages
- Manage virtual infrastructure, including deploying and monitoring VMs/Containers
- Maintain the product backlog including tasks and their priorities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience or education in software development, or related field
- Proficient in software engineering and debugging principles
- Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining automation in CI systems (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Batch, Bash)
- Experience with source-control systems (e.g. Perforce, Git)
The role will be hybrid (3 days a week), and you will report to a DRE Development Manager. You will work with your peers to provide excellent services to our partner teams at EA Vancouver.
