The Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) Customer Excellence team partners with clients to engineer what's ahead, solve real-world engineering challenges, deploy Simulation and Analysis (S&A) software, and grow our business. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and solutions for federal aerospace and defense customers, ensuring operational excellence at every stage.
You Are:
You are a strategic leader with project management experience in engineering and software development within federal aerospace & defense environments. You thrive in cross-functional roles, balancing both high-level oversight and hands-on execution. Your strong communication and stakeholder management skills allow you to build effective relationships and drive collaboration across teams. You have a proven track record in optimizing processes, managing portfolios, and ensuring compliance in professional services operations. Self-driven and adaptable, you proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and deliver results with urgency and professionalism. You are motivated by making a meaningful impact and continuously improving workflows to enhance customer satisfaction and business success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and optimizing the AGI Professional Services intake process, ensuring seamless alignment across sales, legal, finance, and delivery teams.
- Managing a portfolio of pipeline service opportunities, tracking project capture phases, managing risk, and coordinating resources for timely execution.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive effective communication, set clear expectations, and deliver customer-facing services proposals.
- Continuously evaluating and enhancing intake and portfolio management processes, implementing best practices for workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with standardized procedures, policies, and frameworks for quoting, ordering, and portfolio management.
- Developing and managing KPIs, providing regular performance reports and actionable insights to leadership.
- Designing and implementing training programs for cross-functional teams, supporting consistency and performance excellence.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues in intake and portfolio management, facilitating smooth transitions from sales to service delivery.
- Serving as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations, fostering relationships, and providing portfolio updates.
- Leading special initiatives related to process improvement, tool implementation, and system integration to enhance intake and portfolio/program management functions.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (BS+6, MS+4, or PhD+2 years' experience minimum).
- Proven project management experience with multiple workstreams, preferably in software solutions and federal aerospace & defense environments.
- Expertise in professional services operations, portfolio management functions, and cross-functional team leadership.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies; certifications such as PMP, Prince2 Practitioner, CSM, or PSM, and process improvement techniques like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce) and Work OS platforms (Monday.com).
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal contracting processes, including requirements analysis, acquisition strategy, RFP/RFI development, and compliance with FAR/DFARS.
- Ability to lead proposal development, pricing coordination, and capture activities for competitive pursuits.
- Competency in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25% and work autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- This position requires compliance with U.S. government security and/or access requirements. As a result, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
