LPN Atrium Health One Health Family Medicine Lake Norman FT

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Atrium Health One Health Family Medicine Lake Norman. As an LPN, you will provide patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic according to established scope of practice guidelines and standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures, such as strep tests and wound cultures.
• Assist physicians/providers with procedures and surgeries.
• Administer medications, including immunizations and pain medications.
• Provide basic patient education on tasks, skills, treatment, and self-care.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Document and communicate accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
• Perform advanced clinical tasks, such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, and EKGs.
• Organize and prepare exam rooms, lab, and work areas.

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding and electronic medical records systems.
