RN School Nurse

As a Registered Nurse with The Menta Education Group, you will oversee the health and well-being of students, act as a resource for health education, and maintain student records and data for compliance purposes.

Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, following a school calendar. No nights, no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services.
• Document each instance of medication administration.
• Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation.
• Maintain the security of school health supplies.
• Instruct students in health education.
• Correspond with parents and medical providers on students' health needs.
• Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data.
• Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
• Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed.
• Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies.

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse license.
• Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and their treatment.
• Understanding of child growth and development.
• Familiarity with public health problems and procedures.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting school health services.
• Ability to coordinate services between the school, local health agencies, and community resources.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: USD 55,000-58,000 per year.
