Description
The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. As an Android SDK Engineer, you will join the Data Platform within the Platform mission, where we build the foundations that help Spotify teams better understand and serve our listeners.
Your main responsibilities will be to build and evolve Android SDKs that enable engineers and data scientists to analyze user behavior at scale. You will contribute to a high-performing, autonomous team of engineers, designers, and product managers, developing scalable, testable, and maintainable code used across multiple teams and projects.
You will also help define and improve Android engineering practices across Spotify, collaborate closely with platform and data teams to deliver impactful solutions, drive innovation and continuously improve developer productivity and experience, and support the broader Android community at Spotify and influence technical direction.
We are looking for someone with experience in building Android applications and SDKs at scale, a deep understanding of modern Android development and tooling, and the ability to write readable, maintainable, and performant code in Kotlin. You should also have some working experience with C++ and be comfortable supporting iOS if the need arises.
