Description
The Design Engineer position assists in the planning, design, and development of technical projects for gas distribution and transmission infrastructure. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker, and sound decision maker.
A typical day might involve performing assignments involving designs for DOT conflicts, System Improvements, Renewals, Relocations, and New Business. The engineer will also plan and design mechanical equipment and components, develop meter and regulator set designs, collect and evaluate records for uprating procedures, and provide oversight and support for construction activities.
The Design Engineer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively accomplish tasks and resolve issues. They will have the ability and initiative to work in a self-guided and efficient manner, with a customer-focused critical thinking mindset.
