Description
As a Privacy Operations Lead at Wise, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day work behind global privacy operations, including data subject rights requests, third-party privacy due diligence, records of processing activities, and privacy risk reporting.
You will improve how the team works at scale, simplifying processes, reducing manual work, and providing senior governance forums with clear information about privacy risk.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the team handling data subject rights requests, ensuring work is prioritized, queues remain healthy, and requests are completed accurately and within statutory deadlines.
- Improve workflows, quality assurance checks, guidance, templates, and tooling for the team to handle growing volumes and complex cases.
- Run privacy due diligence for vendors and commercial partners, maintaining ongoing reviews and periodic reassessments based on privacy risk.
- Perform periodic quality assurance of Wise GDPR Records of Processing Activities.
- Maintain and provide operational data to support clear privacy risk reporting for Executive Leadership, Oversight Committees, and Boards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in privacy operations, legal operations, or data governance, including managing and coaching people who handle data subject rights requests.
- Knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other major privacy rules.
- Experience with privacy or workflow tools such as Zendesk, Twilio, and Jira.
- Ability to turn operational data into clear metrics and risk reporting for senior audiences.
- CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT qualification preferred.
We offer a salary of 1,915,000 to 2,460,000 HUF gross monthly, plus RSUs.
