Enterprise Account Executive-South Bay

ClickHouse San Francisco, California Remote senior full-time

Salary

$300K - $350K per year

Apply on ClickHouse

Description

The Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive for the South Bay region, you will own a mostly greenfield enterprise territory with a core focus on generating new logos. Your primary goal will be to drive growth by landing new teams and use cases within accounts that already buy from ClickHouse, as well as identifying and converting existing ClickHouse usage in new accounts.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own the full sales cycle for both new and existing accounts in your territory, from initial conversation through security review, procurement, and close, on Cloud commitments and multi-year committed spend.
  • Grow your install base by landing new teams and new use cases inside accounts that already buy from us.
  • Own renewals and consumption commitments, working with your Solutions Architect and Support to get ahead of usage and churn risk.
  • Monitor consumption trends across your accounts and engage early when usage flattens or spikes.
  • Find and convert existing ClickHouse usage in new accounts, focusing on unmanaged open-source deployments and self-serve Cloud accounts.
  • Multi-thread across the data platform team, the budget owner, security, and the executive sponsor rather than relying on a single champion.
  • Work with your Solutions Architect through the technical evaluation, owning the commercial strategy and the close.
  • Run the procurement path, including security questionnaires, legal redlines, vendor onboarding, and BYOC or private-deployment requirements.
  • Provide your champion with the internal business case, including TCO comparison against the incumbent, migration plan, and risk mitigation.
  • Map the remaining teams and use cases in each account and build an expansion plan against them.
  • Keep Salesforce accurate and submit a forecast leadership can plan against, across both new business and expansion.
  • Participate in the developer community in your territory, attending meetups, conferences, and events.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years selling technical infrastructure to enterprise buyers, specifically databases, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, observability, or developer tooling.
  • A track record of closing complex deals that went through security review, legal, and procurement.
  • Technical fluency to hold an architecture conversation, without needing to write SQL.
  • Experience carrying a hybrid quota, balancing new business with expansion and renewal.
  • Experience with consumption-based or usage-metered commercial models.
  • Ability to sell into developer-led, bottom-up adoption as well as top-down.
  • Skill in orchestrating people who don't report to you, including Solutions Architects and executive sponsors.
  • Accurate forecasting, including when the numbers are bad.

Perks

  • Flexible work environment as a globally distributed, remote-friendly company.
  • Healthcare benefits with employer contributions.
  • Equity in the company through stock options.
  • Flexible time off in the US and generous entitlements in other countries.
  • A $500 home office setup for remote employees.
  • Opportunities for in-person connection at company-wide offsites.
