Off-Page AEO/SEO Manager

We're seeking an Off-Page AEO/SEO Manager to own off-page AEO and SEO end-to-end on the AEO team. You'll focus on making sure Telnyx is cited as the answer in AI sources, publications, listicles, newsletters, Reddit threads, and X posts.

Responsibilities:

• Own off-page end-to-end, running link building, digital PR, partnerships, guest contributions, and brand mentions as one program.
• Get Telnyx cited in AI answers, making it the source ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews cite.
• Use citation data to pick targets, and win placements in publications, listicles, subreddits, and creators AI models cite.
• Write and place your own pieces on sites developers actually read.
• Run digital PR for a developer audience, pitching Telnyx benchmarks, product launches, and data into publications, newsletters, podcasts, and roundups.
• Turn work into linkable assets, partnering with Content and DevRel on original research, latency and cost benchmarks, and technical deep-dives.
• Run the vendor program with high standards, managing link vendors, setting monthly targets, and enforcing quality bars.
• Build systems, not spreadsheets, setting up documented, automated workflows for prospecting, outreach, follow-ups, and reporting.
• Test what earns citations, running structured experiments on content format and placement type.
• Report weekly, tying it to revenue, tracking domains acquired, citation share, share of voice, AI referral traffic, and signups and contact-sales leads.
• Build and run the Reddit and X engagement program, using automated listening to catch high-value threads, questions, and competitor mentions.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5+ years in off-page SEO, digital PR, or link building, ideally at a developer tool, API, cloud, or PLG SaaS company.
• A real off-page operator with hands-on experience building links, landing placements, and running digital PR campaigns.
• Hands-on with AI citations, tracking which sources ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and AI Overviews cite.
• Fluent with developer audiences, knowing which publications, newsletters, subreddits, X accounts, and dev communities actually matter to engineers.
• Outreach that gets replies, writing personal pitches and building real relationships with editors, maintainers, and newsletter authors.
• A natural on Reddit and X, knowing the norms of each community and replying helpfully with clear disclosure.
• A strong technical writer, able to turn technical topics into guest posts.
• Comfortable owning it solo, with no agency safety net and no outreach team under you.
• Data literate, able to work with backlink data, citation data, and Search Console.
