Description
As a Corporate Communications Associate Manager UK&I at Deliveroo, you will play a vital role in protecting and building the company's reputation. You will join the International Communications Team and work across various channels, including communications, business, news, trade, and owned channels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the corporate press office, handling media queries, and engaging with journalists on complex issues and high-level stories.
- Developing and implementing a written and visual strategy for owned channels, such as LinkedIn, to build the corporate reputation.
- Leading the merchant communications strategy and outreach for the UK, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop a proactive calendar of partner and product announcements.
- Reporting on the work of the communications team, ensuring visibility internally and consistent measurement.
- Developing content for senior-level internal stakeholders, including crisis comms messaging, briefing notes, and external messaging.
- Building strong relationships with key journalists and publications across various sectors.
- Providing counsel and guidance on corporate reputation to internal senior stakeholders and wider departments.
- Identifying and securing speaker, traditional, and non-traditional media opportunities.
- Supporting the management of an agency and managing standalone projects.
- Building and sharing AI-powered comms assets and workflows for the team.
- Using AI tools to draft and stress-test messaging, analyze coverage and sentiment, and spot story opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in corporate PR, with a strong understanding of business, national, and trade media.
- Demonstrable experience in leveraging owned channels, especially LinkedIn, for corporate reputation.
- A track record of landing positive corporate coverage in national, trade, and social media.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in a comms context.
- A genuine builder's instinct, experimenting with new tools and sharing them openly.
