Description
As a Senior Project Manager (PMCM Build) at WSP, you will lead and support project management commissions across the full RIBA lifecycle, from early strategy, briefing, and business case development through to procurement, delivery, handover, and close-out.
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting them in managing scope, programme, budget, risk, quality, change, and stakeholder expectations with confidence and clarity.

- Chairing project, design team, and stakeholder meetings, producing clear, concise, and action-focused reports, minutes, dashboards, and decision papers.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams, contractors, specialist suppliers, and internal WSP technical disciplines to support effective and successful project delivery.
- Establishing and maintaining robust governance, reporting, risk management, and change control processes tailored to the specific needs of each commission.
- Driving safe, sustainable, efficient, and value-led outcomes, helping clients make informed decisions that balance commercial, environmental, and operational priorities.
- Building and strengthening relationships with new and existing clients, advisers, project stakeholders, and industry partners, contributing to repeat business opportunities and long-term account growth.
- Supporting business development activities, including bids, proposals, client presentations, market engagement, and knowledge-sharing across the wider PMCM business.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a client-side Project Management Consultant within a property, construction, infrastructure, or built environment consultancy.
- A track record of leading or meaningfully supporting complex projects or programmes, ideally within the UK real estate sector.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage programme, scope, risk, change, quality, and stakeholder priorities within a consultancy environment.
- Confidence in chairing meetings, influencing stakeholders, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and producing high-quality client-facing reports and recommendations.
- Experience across multiple RIBA stages, with an understanding of UK procurement routes, contract forms, design management, construction delivery, and handover processes.
- Professional accreditation, or active progress towards membership of a relevant professional institution such as MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent.
- A relevant degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent practical experience in project management, construction, real estate, engineering, or a related discipline.
