Description
As a Safety & Health Engineer, you will play a key role in continuously improving working conditions at our plant in Kruiningen. You will focus on identifying and assessing health and safety risks, providing coaching and training to employees, and supporting managers in finding solutions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and evaluating workplace safety and health risks, and proactively supporting managers in solving them
- Being a coach and actively present on the shop floor (more than half of your working time)
- Organizing evacuation exercises and emergency response training
- Optimizing the plant's safety management system
- Ensuring that measures from risk assessments and safety bases are followed up and implemented, and reporting on progress
- Maintaining up-to-date health and safety documentation, including procedures and instructions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A technical education at level 4, and a diploma in middle-grade occupational health and safety or be willing to learn
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
- Strong observational and analytical skills, and the ability to influence behavior through coaching and other techniques
- Planning and report-writing skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
