Description
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join the Grafana Alerting squad, operating at the core of the Grafana open-source project. The successful candidate will work remotely from Spain and be part of a global team of 100% remote workers.
The Grafana Alerting team focuses on providing in-depth alert management for users, working closely with customers and the Grafana Cloud teams to ensure Alerting works seamlessly on-prem and at scale in Cloud. The team's scope covers both Grafana Alerting and SLOs products, allowing engineers to work across two interconnected products that help users detect and respond to issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking an active role in shaping the roadmap and career objectives
- Collaborating with the team to deliver new features and improvements
- Driving projects from conception to deployment
- Contributing to open-source projects and other teams' initiatives
- Designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems
- Participating in on-call rotations and mentoring team members
Requirements:
- Motivated self-starter with a bias towards action
- Customer-focused with a passion for creating intuitive products
- Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust)
- Experience with delivering projects and developing software in the Cloud
- Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software
