Description
TransPerfect is seeking an Account Manager to develop new business relationships and serve as the first level of support to existing clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing prospective clients through internet research, trade show lists, referrals, and personal investigation
- Fostering and closing new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other means
- Growing new business from existing clients, including working closely with senior leadership to expand current relationships and upsell the TransPerfect portfolio
- Creatively problem-solving to improve current new business development strategy
- Negotiating rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients
- Educating prospective and existing clients regarding the translation process, including TransPerfect's rates, justification for turnaround time, and competitors' information
- Liaising with production to ensure that all jobs are handled appropriately and with keen attention to detail
- Consistently following up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality, and customer service
- Understanding all industries that TransPerfect markets to, including industry leaders, current events, and other pertinent data
- Performing other special projects or duties when required
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3-6 months+ sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective time management

The compensation for this role starts at $45,000 per year, and employees are eligible for a quarterly bonus.
