Description
We are seeking a Manager, Underwriting to lead end-to-end underwriting projects from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure in alignment with company objectives.
As the primary Underwriting Project Lead, you will be the single point of contact for all project-related matters within the underwriting function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including Actuarial, Product Development, Compliance, Claims, Legal, IT, and Finance, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) on underwriting principles and practices within cross-functional project discussions and workshops.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects within an insurance company.
- Strong working knowledge of life insurance underwriting principles, risk assessment, and product structures.
- Familiarity with underwriting systems, policy administration platforms, and digital transformation projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
