Description
We are seeking a Curriculum Development Manager to lead the development of exciting areas of future growth at Havering Adult College. The successful candidate will have extensive curriculum development experience and a strong track record of turning ideas into successful, sustainable provision.
The role involves taking ownership of a portfolio that combines established provision with significant opportunities for growth and innovation, including Creative Industries, Arts & Crafts, Languages, and the College's new discrete SEND provision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing an ambitious curriculum plan aligned to the Adult Learning Strategy
- Identifying and launching new accredited, Tailored Learning and fee-paying provision
- Setting and achieving learner recruitment, participation, quality and financial targets
- Line managing Specialist Teacher/Assessors and sessional teachers
- Using data to understand performance and take action
- Identifying opportunities to bring additional resources into the College
The College offers a 24-month fixed-term contract, with a strong potential to become permanent. The salary range is GBP 50,676 - 54,927 per year.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate a strong track record of developing and growing curriculum provision, achieving quality, curriculum and financial KPIs, leading and developing teaching staff, and using performance, financial and market information to make effective decisions.
Experience in Creative Industries, Arts & Crafts, Languages/BSL or SEND would be advantageous, but specialist subject experience alone will not outweigh the ability to successfully develop curriculum, people, partnerships and income.
