TransPerfect is seeking a Translation Project Management Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will form part of our Translation Project Management team and will primarily be responsible for providing support on Translation projects in accordance with our company's standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop different transferable skills through a valuable experience in a multicultural and dynamic environment. Given the cross-departmental collaboration on a global scale, the intern will gain a thorough understanding of multiple business operations in the world's leading Language Services Provider.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide support on different phases of Translation projects
- Search for corresponding linguists in the database
- Negotiate with freelance translators and proofreaders
- Prepare job folders and files for translation
- Ensure deadlines are met with linguists according to projects
- Prepare trackers, job folders, and files for subsequent translations or media team tasks
- Issue POs for vendors
- Potentially carry out linguistic/non-linguistic final eyes to ensure the final product meets clients' needs
Job Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset
- Studies related to translation, linguistics, or similar (knowledge of CAT tools is very desirable)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines, prioritizing when needed to accomplish requests effectively and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail, able to process vast amounts of information accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
