The Porsche Zentrum Saarland distributes Porsche, one of the most successful sports car brands in the world. Our goal is to continue this success and provide optimal customer service. To strengthen our team, we offer a position as a Technical Trainee Automotive Mechatronics.
Modern vehicles are equipped with a lot of electronics due to increasing assistance systems. This also changes the work in the workshop. Today, those who repair vehicles must not only be able to maintain mechanical parts but also have knowledge of electronics. As an automotive mechatronic technician, we will train you in both areas.
You will learn all areas of vehicle technology, find the causes of functional disturbances, and repair vehicle damage. You will check technical systems and investigate faults using diagnostic devices.
The training lasts 3.5 years and takes place in the company and at the vocational school. At the beginning, you will learn the basics that are the same for all trainees. In the third year, you will specialise in a focus area. Your work environment is primarily the workshop or production hall; you may also work in the office.
Requirements:
- A-levels or intermediate leaving certificate.
- A good school leaving certificate is important to us, but your personality is just as important.
- You bring passion for vehicles and tinkering, as well as an understanding of technical and electronic relationships.
- You enjoy working with technology and manual skills.
- Team spirit, willingness to learn, and reliability are particularly important to us.
