As a Telstra Rigging Telecommunications Trainee, you will work alongside a mentor offering you ongoing coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. We will build on your current strengths, attributes and values and provide you the technical skills required to start a career in one of Australia's fastest growing industries.
You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra's values and strategy.
Current location in demand:
- NT – Darwin
- QLD – Brisbane & Townsville
Must be available to start February 2027
To be considered for the opportunity you will need the following skills & attributes:
- Ability to follow strict Occupational Health and Safety instructions and practices
- Ability to work at heights up to or above 100 meters
- Ability to work and travel away from home
- Physically fit and healthy to climb and work on towers at heights
- Ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening
- Ability to undertake a police check
- Professional and polite communication
- Enjoy working in a team
- Be technically minded
This offer is a 12-month fixed term contract with opportunity for a permanent contract thereafter.
Qualifications:
- As a Trainee Rigger you will be provided with Telecommunication Technology Cert III training during the traineeship along with High-Risk Work Licenses.
- A valid driver's license.
- No prior qualifications need.
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment undertaken by RTO.
