The Systems Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the retail and merchandising domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business decision-making and troubleshoot application or data anomalies.
- Diagnose and resolve application issues, coordinating with vendors and internal technology teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
- Engage with business users to understand and analyse requirements, translating them into technical specifications or improvement opportunities.
- Assess incoming requests with a critical mindset, constructively challenging assumptions to uncover underlying business needs and deliver value-driven outcomes.
- Propose application and reporting improvements to enhance service levels and operational efficiencies.
- Provide SME input and support to project teams impacting Application or across areas of Process/Domain leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of Retail/Merchandising/Inventory application functionality (With Blue Yonder or equivalent)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities to identify, analyse, and resolve technology challenges in response to business and ICT requirements.
- Strong SQL Skills.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data, and present in accessible form.
- Ability to express concepts, terminologies, and highly technical content in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to weigh different solutions or approaches, provide guidance around tradeoffs and risks, and identify underlying needs and future enhancements.
