Vattenfall is looking for a Lead Veiligheidskundige Warmte to ensure safety is not only well-regulated on paper but also works in practice.
As Lead Veiligheidskundige Warmte, you will be close to our people, installations, and projects, helping colleagues and contractors recognize risks, apply control measures, and learn from what happens in the field every day.
Your tasks:
- Coach colleagues, management, project teams, and contractors on location, investigating whether critical control measures are understood and applied in practice.
- Support risk assessments, operational risk assessments, work permits, safe maintenance, and Management of Change.
- Lead or support incident investigations, translate insights into concrete improvements, and support safety reporting.
- Support projects, including mobilization, site work, contractor coaching, readiness, commissioning, and safe handover to operations.
- Monitor relevant Dutch health and safety legislation and regulations, helping to translate them into practical controls, processes, and work instructions.
What makes this position special is the combination of operational safety and project safety. You will work on existing heat and cold assets and be involved in the construction, commissioning, and handover of new or modified infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Relevant health and safety diploma and/or HBO or WO degree in safety science, risk management, or similar field.
- Experience with operational safety, asset management, maintenance, infrastructure, construction, or project execution in a technically complex environment.
- Experience with coaching in the field, incident investigation, risk analysis, and collaboration with contractors.
- Knowledge of applicable Dutch health and safety legislation and regulations, and ISO 45001, translating requirements into manageable controls and work processes.
- Good communication skills and ability to connect different interests around safety, continuity, assets, and projects.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, with willingness to work regularly at various operational and project locations in the Netherlands.
