Description
We are seeking an Assistant Purchasing Officer to join our team at Renaissance Hotels, a part of Marriott International, in Hong Kong.
As an Assistant Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for various purchasing and inventory management tasks. Your duties will include calculating food inventories, orders, and costs, as well as maintaining organised records to ensure reports and invoices are filed and stored properly. You will also post invoices using computer programs, conduct inventory audits, and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies. Additionally, you will notify your manager of low stock levels, verify and track received inventory, and reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries
- Refusing acceptance of damaged or incorrect items
- Troubleshooting vendor delivery issues and overseeing returns
- Adhering to food safety and handling policies
- Monitoring PAR levels for all food items
- Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- Completing safety training and certifications
- Following company policies and procedures
- Maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets
You will also be expected to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support your team, and comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
The successful candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
