We are seeking a Senior Industrial Mechanical Designer to join our team in Chicoutimi, QC, Canada.
As a Senior Industrial Mechanical Designer, you will play a key role in designing and modeling complex installations for the mining and industrial sectors. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative technical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing layouts and 3D schematics for conceptual and detailed designs
- Creating 3D models using SolidWorks or Inventor
- Participating in model review sessions
- Examining drawings and documentation for equipment suppliers
- Assigning and verifying work done by other designers
- Integrating health, safety, and environmental factors into designs
- Analyzing and recommending solutions to problems
- Organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks
- Adhering to industry codes and standards
Requirements:
- DEC in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience in mining, metallurgical, and pulp and paper design
- Proficiency in Inventor and SolidWorks
- Experience with AutoCAD/Plant 3D, Navisworks, Revit, and other software
- Knowledge of industrial equipment design and industry standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary range:
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $40.70 - $53.90
- MB & ON: $37.10 - $51.10
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $36.70 - $48.80
