Description
The Business Development Coordinator supports Zinc Network's business development team by coordinating administrative tasks, conducting research, and managing the proposal process.
This role involves tracking opportunities, organising documents and deadlines, following up on needed information, and preparing submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor procurement portals and funding sources across Zinc's priority frameworks
- Maintain the BD pipeline tracker and associated records
- Support the coordination of proposals led by senior BD colleagues
- Prepare compliance matrices and checklists against tender requirements
- Collate and tailor standard proposal content
- Draft defined, lower-complexity proposal sections and capability material
- Support the identification and recruitment of experts and consultants for proposals
- Prepare background research and draft go/no-go briefing packs
- Coordinate the submission process
- Maintain BD infrastructure
Requirements:
- Some experience of proposal, bid, or business development support
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear, accurate written English
- Confidence working with colleagues across teams and levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Desirable:
- Familiarity with UK government procurement processes and portals
- Interest in communications, campaigning, media development, or information integrity
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to support research, drafting, or document production
