Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Mainframe Developer) to join our Core Payments team at Mastercard. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop high-performance software that meets business requirements. You will work on cutting-edge solutions for Core Payments teams, using technologies such as COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, PROC, Microfocus COBOL, TWS Scheduler, and DB2 LUW.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software that is high on performance and meets business requirements
- Maintain and present project-related metrics reporting for management review
- Technical lead for proposing solutions to the team lead initiatives for automation, defect metrics, and overall quality initiatives
- Handle coordination between teams based in various locations
- Coordinate with other groups, including vendors, to ensure the success of the project
- Develop project schedules and track deliverables
Requirements:
- Experience in batch and online development
- Experience in CI and CD
- Exposure to Java/J2EE and Springboot would be an added advantage
- Involved and spearhead quality initiatives
- Result-oriented individual with automation experience and code quality
- Strong communicator with the ability to guide people to implement the right solution
Nice to Have:
- Experience in payment and cards industry
- Understanding of various development methodologies, including Agile
- Technical subject matter expert who can guide young talent
