Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer II to provide support for applications software through programming, analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Programming, testing, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and support of systems application software in adherence with Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices
- Developing high-quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget
- Researching, creating, and evaluating technical solution alternatives for business needs using current and upcoming technologies and frameworks
- Performing feasibility studies, logic designs, detailed systems flowcharting, analysis of input-output flow, cost, and time analysis
- Working with the project team to meet scheduled due dates, identifying emerging issues, and recommending solutions for problems
- Independently performing assigned tasks and participating in on-call pager support rotation
- Documenting software programs per Software Development Best Practices and following Mastercard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in the software engineering field
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to work as a member of a matrix-based diverse and geographically distributed project team
