Description
We are seeking a Senior Design Technologist to join our Civil Infrastructure team in Kamloops, BC. As a senior technical resource, you will drive design excellence, advance standards, mentor future talent, and enable the successful delivery of complex projects. Your expertise in Civil 3D design leadership will help shape communities throughout British Columbia and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of complex Civil 3D models, drawings, and design packages for civil infrastructure projects.
- Establish and oversee project setup requirements to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Civil 3D templates, standards, and design resources.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement workflow enhancements and design automation opportunities.
- Mentor, coach, and support junior designers and technologists.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of models, drawings, and deliverables.
- Act as a key liaison between engineers and design staff.
- Serve as a trusted senior technical resource, providing guidance on best practices and advanced Civil 3D applications.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil 3D design within municipal, transportation, land development, or civil infrastructure environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Experience developing and maintaining CAD standards, templates, and workflow processes.
- Strong understanding of design coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior technologists.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
