Manager, DC Construction - Project Accounting

We are seeking a Manager, DC Construction - Project Accounting to join our team. As a Manager, DC Construction - Project Accounting, you will own the accounting for capital costs from the point a project is set up through the point completed assets are placed in service.

Responsibilities:

• Own the setup of the project structure and hierarchy through which capital cost is captured
• Establish and maintain the mapping that lets construction cost be analyzed by element of the build
• Partner with teams across accounting, finance, construction and operations
• Run the monthly accrual and cost-to-complete process
• Determine when assets are ready for their intended use and trigger their capitalization

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in capital, construction or fixed asset accounting
• Demonstrated experience owning a month-end close process end to end
• Working knowledge of the accounting for capital projects , CIP, cost capitalization, accruals, and the transfer of completed assets into service
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current capital or construction accounting background in data centers or comparable capital-intensive infrastructure
• Familiarity with capitalized interest and capitalized labor concepts in a construction program
• Big 4 public accounting experience; CPA or CMA
• Experience working with AI tools
