Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with the World Wide (WW) Prime business team dedicated to Membership Growth. As the team continues to innovate the products it launches and evaluates the future trajectory of Prime, the Finance Manager will partner with stakeholders to develop membership experience insights, evaluate impact of acquisition and retention initiatives, and influence strategic lifecycle decisions. In this role, you will have substantial visibility with senior leadership as you provide strategic direction while ensuring a strong sense of financial controllership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as finance subject matter expert on Prime acquisition, retention, and engagement performance.
- Quantify the financial impact of product initiatives and experiments.
- Collaborate with the business team to build business models, value propositions, and drive near-term and long-term forecasting.
- Present to the senior leadership team on a regular basis.
- Manage and execute projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering, synthesis, modeling, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field.
- 5+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience.
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
